Runwell — Elite Hub Nut

Runwell — Elite Hub Nut

The Runwell Elite Hub Nut is one of the lightest, and lowest profile designs in the industry whilst having the most amount of thread purchase. This is achieved by designing the interface between the rotating washers and the nut to begin at the lowest point possible meaning there's less material for more thread purchase. The low profile design makes the nuts slimmer — for greater aero or to have more thread engagement when using chain tensioners behind the nut.

Minimum contact surface area between the nut and washer provides minimal fiction between the surfaces. This reduces binding and helps prolong the life of your frame's dropouts.

Runwell Elite Hub Nuts were designed to interface perfectly with a Runwell Aqualia15 wrenches  which share a common 10mm head depth.

These nuts have been made with a corrosion resistant coating, however if left in the weather, it may degrade over time. We recommend lubricating these nuts often with Inox MX3 or a similar lanolin based lubricant.

What size do I need?

Make sure to check with the wheel manufacturer for your hubs' axle thread size. Many front wheels use an M9 thread. The rear wheel almost always have an M10 thread. You can test this yourself by checking if a nut from the front wheel will thread onto the rear, or vise-versa.
